Hod is sephirah number 8 and known as Splendour.
The Temple of Hod – as described in the workbook – is made of ice and set in an arctic landscape.
Hod focuses on the more logical ability to remaining consciously aware of the sort of thought patterns that can arise through misjudged opinions, both of self and others.
This accents the need for a flexible attitude, and the importance of commitment and concentration on accurate perception, which is always invaluable in scientific observation.
Here, the Tunnel of the Mind – already described in Yesod – is explored in meditation, aiding ability to become more consciously aware of the sort of fragmented images that can build in the mind, and the confused actions that can be taken because of them.
The individual would look to the Ice Temple of Hod to help them examine their attitude, and change any images that may be negative to growth. Through the use of Magical Images the Workbook also helps to build positive imagery to form lasting commitments, and find the real truth of personal thought patterns. Thus revealing the splendour of a fully controlled and conscious mind.
The Hod workbook – the third in this series of practical Qabalah books – focuses on our attitude and the Power of Thought. In this workbook we explore the Tunnel of the Mind and become more consciously aware of the sort of images we build in our mind.
We would look to the Ice Temple of Hod to help us to examine our attitude, and change any images that may be negative to our growth. Hod also helps us to build positive imagery e.g. Magical Images; to form commitments, and to find the real truth of our thoughts.
